The Eagle Dancer honors the majestic eagle in full regalia, portraying its life cycle from birth to death.  He is adorned with tassels, beading, and a tail of sacred feathers that sway gracefully from side to side. For many Native American tribes, the eagle is a sacred creature, symbolic of strength, power and wisdom. Because of its ability to fly high, the eagle is believed to be a spiritual link between the heavens and earth, carrying prayers of tribe members upon its wings closer to the heavens and Great Spirit. Â
