By Gentleman HatterThe product is easy to apply and does not alter the color of a felt hat. While it provides adequate rain/stain protection, it must be frequently reapplied for best results. I've only used it on felt hats, and thus cannot evaluate its performance when used on other materials.

By extraneousI've used this for many years, on so many articles, including leather furniture, leather and suede outerwear and sport coats.
