light weight fabric, which is just what i wanted. love the buckle on the girth strap... zipper makes for easy on and off.
the XL is too short to reach the withers of my 16' 2" properly. face length is fine. definitely not long enough. if sizing could be corrected, this would be the best sleazy on the market.

There were snags for the velcro around the muzzle. There were also weird streaks in the color, but it fits well and the zipper makes it easier to slip on for more difficult horses.

Do not use the Sleazy sizing guide as a reference for this product. The equihood runs way smaller then the Sleazy brand!

I use this right after bathing to keep my horse clean and to keep his mane nice.

Really love the girth strap to keep it in place. Use it as a mane tamer for shows.

I really like this hood, but it does run small. My mare is 15.2 and I bought a Large, which fits everywhere except it is too short over her neck and withers. I wish they were American made!!

The zipper broke after one week of in stall use. Good thing I am a seamstress, for $2 and some time, I will replace it instead of sending back.

This hood is made ok as far as quality but as far as sizing, it runs way too small especially for those big long necked hunt seat horses. It is too short in the length and a little small around the muzzle even in an extra large size. I purchased 2 for large horses - one smaller than the other and found the extra large to be good for maybe a 15.2h horse. I personally liked the hoods Rods carried before they changed vendors.

These are not heavy duty hoods but very inexpensive. I would only use them under a hood. they run small in size & I had to reorder for several of my horses. The velcro tab is not stitiched very well and is already coming off.

This hoody is well made and the colors are great! It was hard to tell what size to get. Medium covers alot of different types of horses and may not fit all.

Nice smooth, lightweight fabric and a nice sturdy girth buckle. Elastic strap on girth doesn't stay adjusted through buckle slot, have to tighten each time. Zipper is very cheap small metal zipper like you would find on dress pants and does not have locking ends to keep it zipped. After one use, my zipper separated and I was not able to re-start it due to not having ends, ended up replacing the zipper completely. Muzzle band is not lined and velcro closure at muzzle is very small and not strong enough to keep zipper closed either. My horse did not need the additional strap between the front legs, but it's nice to have it as it helps keep the hood in position for horses that try to get hoods off. Also, stitching around eyes and ears is not very sturdy and the threads are starting to come out after one washing.

I have a Haflinger mare that lives outside and last year her blanket rubbed a chunk of her long mane out. Then she decided that she would rub even more of it out and after trying everything I could to prevent more rubs I bought this hood and it is working great. No more blanket rubs and her mane is growing back great. The only problem I have with it is that it is a weird fit. It fits kind of snug through the face and shoulders but it big in the length.

It doesn't get any better than Rod's and their products[...]

The size large fit my 15.1 hand stocky paint horse perfectly. For the price it is a decent hood.

I bought this to use as a liner under my horse's winter hood and then for show season to keep his braids down, an XL was still to small for my 16.3 gelding, it didn't go past his withers to properly fit. Zipper also broke after him wearing it for 2 days. If I had a smaller horse I'd use it for the price, would be great if they had blanket sizes or LBS listed to match their sizes. Also after those first couple days of use the noseband had rubbed his face hair off because of the tightness/to small of size. Again for the cheaper price didn't expect something great and perfect but was hoping for a little more.
