By 1qtrhrsThese are great for the more seasoned horse that might need a bit more direct/immediate contact on a pull. A lot of western pleasure and horsemanship, trail riders are using these. I'm using the same bit at the shows, with these reins and my 11 year old gelding is a bit more on the bit, a bit more flexed at the poll and gets my feedback with a more subtle hand movement. When I have to get on his case, these are great too.
